A View with Va-Va-Voom

I went to Buchlyvie today to see gallerygirl1 who runs the Green Gallery. It's a beautiful set up she has there - a grand old Victorian mansion over which Becky has waved her magic wand and turned into a stylish modern family home.
Becky's mum, Ann Johnston - an artist with an entrepreneurial touch, started the Green Gallery almost 20 years ago in nearby Aberfoyle.
Becky refurbished an old smithy beside the house a few years ago and it's now a beautiful light filled gallery space with an adjacent garden for showing sculpture.
She's got a great eye and has brought on some fine artists over the years. I like the look of the Sandra Moffat work which is heading there soon. Not to mention my old pal from school days, Pam Glennie with her amazing floating palette of pastel.
My kids came with me and it was great to be able to take them somewhere like this where they weren't tugging your elbow every two minutes hissing that they were bored and wanted to go home.
Treehouse, summer house, trampoline... Plenty of space. Other kids to play with.
Spring sunshine.
Yes, all was right with the world.
AND as you drive off, there's a view like this over to the hills beyond.
Sometimes, Scotland looks fresh as a daisy.
