Deluxe ‘Let there be lighting’ bird feeder

I cleaned up these lanterns on a freezing December day two or maybe three years ago hoping to re-use them. That plan got superseded but I hung on to them. Today I finally painted them and cut plywood bases.

I was coaxed into it by a growing squabble between our resident Sombre Tits and a blow-in Chaffinch.

It’s amazingly difficult to buy birdseed for wild birds in Italy.
