Poppi from the Bibbiena by-pass

I took a trip to the Co-op at Subbiano further down the Arno valley. Timed my run for the ‘l’ora morta’ lunch hour quietness. Bought a large Johnson of stuff (in his Tweets Dominic Cummings uses a supermarket trolley emoji for BJ.)

I bought a bottle of French Brandy. They only keep the empty boxes on the shelves. I asked a friendly assistant if she could get me the bottle from the back. She looked but they were out of stock. Oh well, I said. She then rifled through all the boxes and found three at the back were full. I just took the one..

On the way back I pulled over to try and catch the light shifting on Poppi. Needless to say the fleeting sun immediately dimmed.
