Almost like Maes Howe

As I wrote a few days ago, at the winter solstice we can see the sunset through this window.

Sorry for blipping it again - but as it's the winter solstice today, and the sun was shining all day, I wanted to show it to you in its full splendour.

It does remind me not just of of Stonehenge, but of the neolithic tomb of Maes Howe in Orkney. It has a long entrance tunnel that only lets sunlight into the central chamber at the winter solstice sunset.

Sunny days mean cold nights, and there was ice on the roof window this morning - see extra.
