Sugar Loaf on a sea of cloud
Went for a walk in the Glen Cree Oak woods today, just south of Dublin. It was a magical calm misty day, very atmospheric, with moss on the rocks and so still the mist was clinging to the cobwebs in the gorse. JM Synge wrote a poem to the Oaks of Glen Cree (see the extras). We got to the top of Prince William's Seat about 3.30pm to find that there was an inversion and the last 50 feet took us above the clouds. The blip is the Big Sugar Loaf floating above the clouds taken from the top of Prince William's Seat.
