Weird skies tonight
At around 7.30pm tonight we became aware of a strange golden light in the house. We went outside to look at the sky and it was weird. The last time the skies looked like this was almost exactly two years ago when we had massive bushfires to the north and south of us coming at us like a pincer movement. There are no bushfires anywhere near us at the moment. In fact there were very damaging storms in parts of Sydney in the last couple of hours.
We walked around to the side of the house and from there the sky looked pink, not golden (see extra). It feels like we are on another planet!
Now for 'True or False'. Well done EllyJay, Snapjax and Talpa. You were all correct.
Here's is today's challenge:
The word 'Mistletoe' comes from the Anglo-Saxon word 'misteltan', meaning "little dung twig". This is because the plant is often spread through the droppings of birds. TRUE or FALSE? (answer in my next blip.)
