True or False?

For those following the saga of what was to be our brand-new car, the contract was indeed torn up today! To his credit, the dealer absolutely understood our frustration and reasoning. He is fortunate that we are not inclined to be litigious.

We will now have to wait between six and 12 months for the damaged vehicle to be replaced!! To distract us from our disappointment and frustration we decided to put up our tree and Christmas decorations today. It's wonderful what you discover each year when you open up the boxes. I had forgotten we had a little game called 'Festive True or False'. Surprisingly, it is actually quite fun. It is made up of a number of statements around Christmas and you have to say whether the statement is true or false. We had a bit of fun with it this morning and it was good for us to be laughing.

I thought between now and Christmas I might ask my fellow blippers whether particular statements are true or false and then give you the answer the following day.

Here is today's:

"The first plastic Christmas trees were made by a toilet brush manufacturer."
