Birthday Treat

To celebrate my 66 years we walked from Ambleside up onto Loughrigg. This is one of my favourite lower level fells and today did not disappoint. We left the mist behind in Ambleside and emerged onto a fell bathed in sunshine. This view into Langdale Valley will live in my memory for sometime to come. Especially as a Herdy posed on the crag above and the mist pooled in the valley. I hope the extras give a hint of some of the delights we encountered.

Glad of a few mugs of tea to refresh ourselves before heading out for a meal.
