Still Blooming
After a little craziness today, the pod is unpacked. Jon thought he had booked 3 men for 3 hours to unload about 60 boxes, yard furniture and some heavy furniture pieces we took with us. Well, only 1 man showed up promptly at the appointed time. They did the best they could with all the boxes and lighter things, but Jon was definitely not up to the heavy pieces. We were able to get an emergency crew of 3 men for 1 hour and it was done by noon. Now the real fun begins. Getting all that "stuff" out of the boxes and into the house. The heavy furniture was placed into the house by the emergency crew. It is shaping up and all deliveries and installations are made except for the Geek squad and the TV and a dining set that will be delivered on Saturday. I can do laundry, work with internet and sort, sort, sort.
Fortunately, we can still use the apartment until the end of the month so until the bed can be set up we have options.
I am in awe of all the flowers that are blooming in December. The temps have been early summer-like. I think this may be a gardenia - tell me if I'm wrong. Being somewhat of a plant snob, I'm at a loss for these southern plants that I've only seen in a florist shop. I can learn though!
Hope you are all enjoying the prep leading up to The Holidays and taking time to notice the little things that bring joy. Happy Friday.
