Sidmouth

Yesterday we were both contacted by track and trace. We were told we needed to isolate for 10 days as we had been a contact with someone who had caught COVID. When I input our details, the instructions changed and we need not  isolate, presumably as we were triple vaccinated but just needed to test daily until Friday. Phew! I managed to get two packs of test kits in our local pharmacy but they were only handing them out to people who had a code on their phones. We have both tested negative the last two days. Working back, it must have been someone on the plane who subsequently tested positive. A year ago we were asked to submit our plane seat number on the locator form but we weren’t asked this time.
I went to Sidmouth this afternoon to pick up a parcel and after walking along the sea front, I was at the mouth of the river Sid when I heard a chap say to another that he had seen a kingfisher. I pricked up my ears and walked a little way along beyond the new bridge and there it was and I watched as it flew up the river. That’s the first kingfisher I have seen for a long time and a first in that locality. No photo but I will return.
My blip is a shot along Sidmouth beach. A very mild day today, 12 degrees.
