Bonsall

These are the Market Steps in Bonsall in the White Peak, Derbyshire.

It's an ancient village. Once lead mining was the dominant industry. There are several remaining knit framing cottages here too, where the term 'cottage industry' comes from.

The street in the background heading up the hill is home to Uncle Bill - Rose's oldest living relative - and his partner Vic. We had a nice time visiting them. They were snowed in for RB's Christening a couple of weeks ago so it was nice to be able to see them.
