Staying Low

Not a day for a high level walk. The clag was down and after a visit to Booths for a few supplies we decided on a walk along the shores of Rydal Water. 

On the way lots of work being undertaken to restore power to houses still using generators. Huge trees littered the way and it was easy to see why the power had been cut. It really brought home the impact of the recent storms.

Not a day for mountain views but rather liked this view of the lake. Good to get back to a warm cottage and a mug of hot tea as the light began to fade.
