Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

What a bargain.

I found myself able to resist this bargain in Homebase today. I also found myself gobsmacked at the price!
Up early this morning as mum was being picked up to go out with a friend for a light lunch. She wasn't up early, just me!!!
Colin and I went and bought our tree at Homebase. It's now sitting in the garage waiting for its window of opportunity! I'll never forget the year we left buying a tree until too late and ended up buying a Norway spruce on Christmas Eve which had shed all its needles before Boxing Day. Never again!
Ali and I went up to Jojo Maman in Morningside and then, once mission was accomplished we stopped and had hot chocolate and a cake in La Telve. It used to be called Yellow and is run by a Turkish family. We've always enjoyed going there in the past but they have changed their focus. They have taken over the neighbouring shop and new sell an enormous selection of cakes and pastries. Almost too many to choose from, but only almost! I managed.

We had a quiet evening back home and I caught up with Monday's University Challenge which went quite well for a change.
I can't believe it's Friday again tomorrow. I'm continuing my week of celebrations witha wedding tomorrow. Only very small but we know the groom quite well. I've been asked to read 1 Corinthians 13,the love passage.
Keep safe folks.
