THE GRISWOLD HOUSE

Our neighborhood has a contest for the best Christmas Lights.
There are several categories, including THE GRISWOLD HOUSE,
meaning the most "over the top."  The house above is so over the top, 
it can probably be seen from space.

My grandchildren absolutely adore this house.  They want to get out of the car, when we drive by at night, so they can see everything close up.   They like to see it in the day time, too.  The family who lives here must love dogs, because they must have 10 light-up dog statues, all in their own "pack."   They are my favorites.  

I used to be a bit of a snob about Christmas lights, but now they just seem so festive, even if only a single bush is decorated.  There is such a variety of color combinations & arrangements that I am often amazed.  Even though it is very windy in our area, we still see lots of blow up Santas, Snoopies & Dinosaurs. 

The more outrageous, the more wonderful they are.
