Lunchtime treat

As I have all this week off from work it was lovely to be able to spend time with Roland without having to rush around at the weekend.

This morning we went to the launch of 'Equal Lives', the new name and fresh image of the Norfolk Coalition of Disabled People. I've mentioned them before, as they are one of the main movers behind the monthly demonstrations outside the ATOS offices in Norwich; ran a couple of errands and changed library books and then went mad and popped into Take5 for a drink and shared piece of Banoffee pie where I spotted this little vase of flowers just waiting to be photographed.

Caught up on bits of news: one young woman has recently had a baby, a little girl named Sydney (I love that!) and the partner of another has just been offered a place to study painting at the Royal College of Art in London starting in the autumn. We really miss not being able to go to Take5 as often as we used to but it really doesn't matter because it always feels like it was just yesterday that we were last there.

Blue sky and a bit of sun made us feel (almost) like we were really on holiday. But I guess we are: a holiday at home.
