Harp Measures

As you can see we get some classy acts busking in town. To go with the violinists, flutists and opera singer we now have a harper.

A person that plays the harp is called a harpist or harper. Folk musicians often use the term harper; classical musicians use harpist.

No sign of any wildlife around Winnall Moor so I went into town. Much to my surprise there were lots of people around and even a couple of buskers. This one sounding very mournful was by the Buttercross. At least he did not have to lug a full harp around.

I think listening to the harp is probably an acquired taste; a bit like the lager. I think I tried it once (the lager not the instrument), never again proper beer is much better.
