It's been an odd sort of day. We had planned to meet up with a friend and have a walk then a meal. We chickened out of the walk and just had the meal, which was very nice.
This morning, I was very excited to get a visit from a Jay during my daily Garden Bird Count. There isn't much in the way of mature woodland habitat in the immediate vicinity, and this is only the second time we've had a Jay but it spent a few minutes around the garden, including sitting on the posing perch for long enough for me to get a couple of shots.
