Gallus bizzum in storm Barra

Storm Barra hit Ireland today with winds of up to 145km/hr. Government advice is to stay at home but this gallus bizzum ignored it. She came through my back garden at about noon (I think it's a she, a female blackcap, but I'm happy to be corrected if anyone has a better idea?).

A gallus bizzum (or gallus besom)  is a saucy wee lass, "a Scottish girl or woman of loose moral standing or brazen attitude". From "gallus", having a cheeky or arrogant style (in a positive way, though originally from "gallows" I believe) and "bizzum" (or besom), meaning a woman of low social standing (from the Scots word for a broom, i.e. a washer woman). I think of gallus bizzum as being a positive accolade, someone to be admired for their style or rebellious behaviour.
