Confectionary Comfort

On a wet, cold gloomy day ducking out the rain into Harald's was a real treat.  Harald's is a wonderfully traditional sweet shop just off the High Street in Cromer. These jars of confectionary contain many that I remember as a child, such as coconut mushrooms, pear drops and candy sticks, which were sold as 'sweet cigarettes' then and the individual wrappers even featured the beige coloured 'tip' to make it look more like a real cigarette!

I notice that there is an interloper stored in the 'Rhubarb & Custard jar though.

They also sell loose fresh Belgian Chocolates too so you can choose your favourites to be boxed and tied up with ribbon...heaven!
