Saturday: Mary’s

We decided a breakfast diner was in order today.  We had intended to go to ‘Save On Meats’, on West Hastings, but didn’t realise it was temporarily closed.  We then decided to try the Irish breakfast at ‘Smith’s’, having seen it on their menu when we’ve been for a drink, only to discover that the all-day breakfast doesn’t start until 2pm(!).  And the brunch menu wasn’t doing it for us, so we ended up at Mary’s on Davie, where I had an excellent Croque Madame.

This evening it was off to ‘Main Street Brewing’, where we met up with a few friends of Andrew’s.  

One things for sure - a period of abstemiousness will be on the cards when he leaves.
