Looking for spring

Today was April 1, and April Fools day to some. The only joke played mother nature and returning us to colder weather. It only reached 2C this afternoon with lots of snow flurries.

I took a walk down to the lake tonight but did not stay to long as the wind was blowing hard and cold. I did bring alone a bit of bird feed and the Trumpeter Swan was still there and gladly took the handouts.

I got this shot after he took all my food and he got out of the water, guess he is kinda lonely being the only swan on the lake. Maybe he will stick around all summer as lots of people will be giving out food to him.

If he does stick around I guess there will be a few more blips of this grand bird.

Just to note a week ago this lake was still frozen solid and people had been walking on the ice. Today the lake is ice free what a difference a week makes
