Will this survive

I bought this plant a couple of weeks ago and it was covered in buds, most of which have dropped off. This blip is to prove that at least one has developed and opened. I do have another Christmas flowering cactus which I’ve had for about 5years that is quite large but has never flowered.

R has been overseas working for the last 12 days and was due back today. We woke to a message to say that there were technical problems with the plane. Eventually it was rescheduled and we tracked the flight back to Heathrow. 

S had gone down to collect her as there were rail works and strikes planned,  to guarantee that this sleep deprived soul got home safely. She had her PCR at the airport after landing. 

We have had torrential rain all afternoon and this evening I have watched programs on tv about F1 from Jeddah, Machu Picchu, also Queen and Adam Lambert. Exciting!!!
