Evening (late afternoon) light

I couldn't resist buying this "dandelion" solar light in the summer.

I thought it'd be nice to have a bit of light around the pond for evening walks but it's turned out to be quite a useful thing in the late afternoon as the nights start drawing in. I find it creates a lovely atmosphere by the pond.

I'm not a big fan of November-December. January's much better as you start getting more light - some seeds will germinate under cover, my sourdough starter goes out of hibernation and you see the first tips of spring bulbs.

So, like the Scandis, I'll use lights during the darker months, even on the plot in this case!
