No rain today

What a glorious morning, so cold with frost on the grass and snow on the distant hills. We decided we would walk along a old railway line. It was interesting as the first bit was at the bottom of people’s gardens. We met a lady on the walk and we got chatting about walking and she said she loves Northumberland as it’s so rugged and she has a friend that moved up to a village near Hexham, only turned out its the same village we have our cottage, small world.
Hetty enjoyed her walk and all three of us are now trying to keep warm snuggled together in front of the fire.
