Bara brith

Trip out to Betws y coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog. A coffee and wander round the first and decided not to stop at the second.
It rained most of the day and we were back at the house just after two. Hubby read and I caught up with photo course work.
We had cocoa and bara brith from the farm shop at the end of the road late afternoon. It’s a tradition we have had since we started staying in Landmark properties but this is the first time we haven’t sat outside as it was still raining.
Just about to start cooking dinner and hubby opened the door to take Hetty out and a little bird flew in and straight into the corner with shopping, I put my hands over it and hubby turned off the lights and shone the torch at the door and it flew out. Hetty was off out on her own as he was just about to put her lead on when it happened, but it’s a fenced garden and the gate was closed and she comes back when called.
The forecast is for a dry day tomorrow, fingers crossed.
