A frosty start to the week

Who doesn't love an allotment on a frosty morning!

When you have a pond, you need to make sure the water doesn't freeze over completely as it could mean the wildlife in the pond no longer has access to oxygen. 

It was really thin ice today and the glorious sunshine quickly warmed the plot. 

I ended up staying a few hours and barrowing bark chips to the back of the plot. A really lovely time.
