It's that cat again!

Two more days and it's December, aargh! The items ordered by post have started to arrive which reminded me that it's Cleo's favourite time of year She blends in very well with the Amazon packaging and looks like butter wouldn't melt, but stick your hand in there, without carefully checking first, at your peril! Cats and wrapping paper doesn't work well either!
Today was a complete blank when I looked back then I remembered that I went to the Gyle. I'm having the lenses in one of my sets of glasses changed. I have tried but the closer and middle distance sections are just not in the right place. Unfortunately the lens type which I had before, by a particular manufacturer is no longer made and there isn't a comparable one. That's the second time in the last 10 years or so that has happened - which is a bit irritating and the reason I had to change. It should take a couple of weeks and then I'll take the frames back in and have the new ones fitted. I'll keep wearing the other pair and see how they are, being smaller lenses to start with they may be OK.
I bought a couple of presents for the girls while I was there too. Back home in time to watch some quizzes and then I got a message to say I had won a prize in Saturday's raffle, very exciting, I'll pick it up tomorrow. Colin cooked a very tasty salmon and asparagus dish for dinner and for pudding we had half of the bouche de Noël I bought from a French lady's stall at The Christmas market, absolutely delicious and more left for tomorrow.
We watched OC and UC, I was more on the ball for the latter tonight. I also caught some of Mastermind. I laughed out loud when I saw that one of the specialist subjects was Still Game, (she scored 12) Magnus Magnusson would have laughed out loud.
Keep safe folks. I'm pleased to hear about the planned quicker distribution of boosters in England, I'm sure we'll follow suit. It sounds, hopefully, as if this new variant may be quite mild which would be good, especially if it gives us antibodies.
