Twirls
A beautiful sunny day. This morning we went for a walk at Glen Tress Forest. There was still a lot of snow on the paths and we had to use make-shift walking poles to prevent ourselves from falling over. Our efforts were rewarded with a hot drink in The Peel visitor centre - constructed several years ago from Norway spruce grown in the forest itself. It was the first time I'd been in the visitor centre and I was impressed by its wooden and glass structure. It was also a reminder that I ought to get out and use the walking and biking trails there more often!
The photo is of two twirly hairs on the seed head of a rosebay willowherb growing on the woodland edge.
