Waiting for growth

The furrows are ploughed deep but no shoots are showing yet. That is in marked contrast to the rhubarb plants I bought today which have made a good start but then they had been planted in poly tunnels previously. So they have gone into the garden to provide some ground cover. This is in an area which has emerged since our neighbour removed a large tree that had rendered half of one of our long flower beds useless. I look forward to some fine champagne rhubarb.
