Deck

I know I know….too early, but why not inject a bit of sparkle and joy given everything else going on?!
We had a morning of browsing for trees and decorations and after a few false starts we got a beauty at Holy Corner…although getting it in and out of the car and up to the flat was hilarious and quite a struggle. We have never had such a huge tree ….and I’ve never had one at all in this flat but A loves all things Christmas so we thought we’d go for it, after all we may be here for Christmas itself and she’s got her friends coming for New Year.
In between all of that we had a lovely brunch at the secret herb farm, then spent the afternoon decorating the tree (with several trips to and from the shop round the corner for extra and/or different lights…used a string of 1000 in the end!)
Have bought some yarn to knit a jumper for Paisley…she’ll need it as today was bitterly cold and it’s staying that way apparently. Time to swap my autumn coat for a winter one!
Had leftover pie for supper but managed to carbonise the pan when the potatoes boiled over and burned badly. Whole house smelled of smoke instead of Christmas tree!
