Lock and chains

One thing I don't have or want - a master of any kind!  :-)
I had to get out for a walk today while the sun shone, and a good thing that I went quite early because it clouded over early in the afternoon. I hadn't walked down to the village for ages. It was so good to run into one of the ferry employees who was on duty today. I often stop to chat with her, not for long because I don't want to keep her from the work. We hadn't seen each other for ages so there was a fair bit of catching up to do! 
Spotted this lock and the rusty chains in one part of the ferry parking lot fence.
Not good news that more heavy rain is coming. Not good news either about yet another coronavirus variant!  Sigh....
