Early One Morning....

Just as the sun was rising.....

Well, it wasn't that early - it is the end of November after all.
There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was just a bit orangey yellow  until the sun nearly broke the horizon.
Then I got a touch of sunrise.

Last night SWMBO contacted her old friend to see if her father had done anything about having all these new smoke, carbon monoxide and heat detectors fitted (we know he is going down to stay with her for a month or two next month).
He hadn't.
So SWMBO spent ages trying to hunt them down.
Eventually she tracked them down ..... to a Screw-Fix just outside Rotherham (there are none to be had in Scotland). So she ordered them then had to phone the helpline to make arrangements for No.1 son to collect them (as they would normally want to see the card that the payment had been made on).
This morning we had a call from No.1 son to say that he had collected them and posted them to us. When they arrive I will go round and fit them.

After sweeping up the leaves ... again, and half filling the garden refuse bin, I had 'fun' making three spinning tops this afternoon. I spent more time finding them, remounting them and trying again.
At the end of the day - I won the battle.
