Back in time

For years we have been meaning to go to the living museum at Beamish but never made it, finally we now have. 

We spent a pleasant few hours in the 1900s town and pit village. That was enough for today, especially as it was so cold. Not complaining about the weather though as it was lovely and sunny and dry. 

I had to laugh at the sign that said they no longer accepted pounds, shillings and pence and were teaching the Edwardians about contactless.

We drove back cross country over the moors and through the dales.
