Happy Birthday to me!

Later than intended (should have been yesterday) I travelled over the Pennines to pick up mum and we headed North to Bedale. 

Mum had given me the Photographer's Guide to the Dales so I looked up where we were going and found a new waterfall we hadn't visited. We set off to explore. As we arrived at the village I had a touch of deja vu. I had been to it before but at the time I didn't know where we were, if that makes sense! Anyway, it was new to mum and I had wanted to know where that waterfall was anyway.

We had a picnic in the car while it rained, then managed to get some photos in the short dry spell. The rain then came back hard so we headed for a tea shop and found one in a chocolate factory, nice hot chocolate!

As the light was fading fast we went to find our self catering cottage. It is lovely and cosy.
