Anthurium [De]Stressed

One of my late Mum's pride and joys plant-wise was her Anthurium, often know as a tailflower due to it's red bracts (spathe) with long tail-like spadix which supports the tiny flowers.  It lived on her kitchen windowsill, and despite erratic care kept on delivering shiny red bracts with bright yellow centres.

I inherited the plant and placed it in what should have been it's ideal position; a bright, but not in direct sunlight, humid bathroom windowsill.  It clearly did not like this as about a quarter of the leaves almost immediately turned yellow, then brown and dropped, along with some of the bracts.

I've removed the dead foliage and moved it to a windowsill on the otherside of the house, where, fingers crossed, it seems much happier. Though I might need to watch out next summer as this window is south facing and gets the full afternoon sun!

One of the dead bracts with it's distinct fleshy spike provides today's image, and my entry for the Tiny Tuesday challenge.
