Resurrect Or Reincarnate?
This is a banner showing people worshiping Buddha.
On this Holy Saturday, I thought I might say something about different religions.
Christians believe in resurrection: The Judeo-Christian notion of resurrection is a transformation of the body into an immortal form of existence, but there is a relationship between the physical body that dies and the body that is physically raised to immortality. The body that dies is the exact body that is raised, yet it is transformed. However, the resurrection is a physical one.
Those that believe will be a witness to that tomorrow.
Buddhists believe in reincarnation: A person dies as themselves and comes back to Earth in a different life form, not in their own body. It could be anything. A bird, a cow, an otter, a wolf or a bear, as examples.
As cool as reincarnation sounds, I pick resurrection. But that's just me.
