Visiting Aunt Margaret an Uncle Charlie
Showers this morning, with a mostly sunny afternoon. More showers and breezy this evening.
Up fairly early, and out with Sammy after breakfast. Met up with mam, and we headed north to Yell. More walkies with Sammy before tea, and then off to work in the shop this evening.
Due to Covid-19, I've not seen some of my elderly relatives in so long! LFT was negative, so off we set to see uncle Charlie and aunt Margaret. Charlie is my granny Margaret's older brother, now 91, and aunt Margaret not far behind. Great to catch up with news, plenty of reminiscing and family history lessons. Charlie and Margaret met at a Billy Cotton dance at R.A.F Thornaby in the 1950s, where they lived and had their family, moved home in the late 80s or early 90s, and the lasses came too. Pictured L-R - Uncle Charlie Gilbertson, granddaughter Lindsay, great grandson Alexander, aunt Margaret, daughter Andrea, daughter Elaine and niece Pat (mam). Taken at Portland, Sellafirth, Yell.
