Light at the End (it's the Gents)
Cases of covid in Germany are rivalling, and well, even exceeding UK levels which made me all the more amused by the lofty pronouncements of my favourite quack non-expert, Devin Sridhar just a couple of weeks ago.
What did she say? “It’s not surprising, then, that Germany is managing to control its Covid epidemic and bring down the numbers of cases and deaths. While the UK government continues to ask people to be vigilant and keep calm and carry on, the clock is ticking. … .. Germany, meanwhile, is keeping its economy and society running, and looks in a strong position heading into the bumpy winter months.” That aged well.
Actually, little else to find amusing - I’ve a winter break booked for Gdansk, and the fourth wave is engulfing Poland too.
Off to the Vue to see this James Bond film, No Time to Die. Again, expectations came to the rescue. Having heard so many people saying it was nothing special, I really enjoyed it. Though to have a fuller appreciation of it, it might have been advisable to have arrived before it started.
