The beech avenue again
The final knockings of the renovations as we took the last of the stuff to the tip and to the charity store and tried to find places at home for stuff we wanted to keep.
Lots of tidying, packing away of tools, collecting of bits still lurking in corners and a final vacuum of all carpets. Almost all done. The letting agent comes on Monday and it should be on the market on Tuesday.
After a busy morning we walked into town to deal with some financial matters requiring the power of attorney document which was concluded satisfactorily. The walk into town takes us along this beech avenue and even in the dull light of a cloudy November afternoon it is rather special.
I’m on a fruitless search for Thornton’s Chocolate Gingers. None on their website and none in the Thornton’s franchise in town. This confectionery has been a Christmas staple for many a year.
