Asiatic lily - lilium landini

The Resident Gardener bought the bulbs to grow this lily at Daiso, a Japanese variety store full of very inexpensive things. Even though I regularly buy liliums for a vase, I've never come across these exotic dark ones, so imagine my surprise when the buds turned into this! Miffy posted a photo of one on 12/11 and I was envious. Not any more. They really are stunning.
