Fisherman's blues

I love these little fisherman huts you see all over...I've nicked the title from this song...
Danny and I went for a walk along this stretch of coast - it's such a feast for the eyes round here. Plus it was a sunny day, the first in about 2 weeks!! It's been crazy weather here recently.
Back to town to get shopping for a community dinner at ours tonight. For those of you who remember our Kitchen Church days, it's something like that...little but great. Just us 4 Hampsons, Mitch and Stephen...lovely to have the kids engaging in everything.
This afternoon the kids and I did painting (the glitter was out too...it's now everywhere). Asha had to do a Christmas themed painting for school and Nate wanted to paint something for Stephen.
Good to see Stephen after his week away...good to hear a bit more where Mitch is at emotionally.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The smell of bolognese cooking all afternoon in the slow cooker.
2) Asha writing a long letter to her friend Annabelle who lives in Sutton.
3) Piles of clean washing that smell of peppermint oil.
