Down by the river

There is much more water in the river now after recent rains and the return of meltwater. This morning I played tennis in the sparkling sunshine for three hours. Two English people from the village turned up and we invited them to play doubles. They were pleased to join us and we had a good close game. I shall be playing again tomorrow and Saturday so will have a quiet evening. Two men from the council came down to survey the street where water is accumulating and causing damp in the bedroom. They say they will be starting work soon so that is a result. There is also a good chance I can claim on the house insurance for the internal damage.
