It gets dark too early??!!

This afternoon we set off on a big long walk at 1pm. Ann said, 'Trixie, it won't be pitch black until about 5pm so we can walk for 3-4 hours.


We walked through Braidburn Valley Park and then through Colinton Mains Park and then through Redford Woods and then through Dreghorn Woods and then through Bonaly Country Park and then through Spylaw Park.


It was fabulous because I was off my lead in all those places. However I have to say I wasn't particularly good today. I did silly 'puppy jumping up' at loads of people. Why do I do that? Especially as I've been so good recently? Guess it's just one of life's mysteries?!!

When we got to Spylaw Park in Colinton, the plan was to walk through Colinton Dell to Slateford, then walk a little way along the canal and then go up and down Craiglockhart Hill to home.

Mmmmmm............... By this time it was 3.15pm and it was actually getting quite dark so Ann said, 'Trixie, let's just get the bus home. I don't think I want to walk through Colinton Dell in the dark.'

Soooooo..................... we jumped on a no.16 bus and came home. And had to put all the heating and lighting on. My human hates these dark nights. I don't care. I walked almost 7 miles this afternoon, so I went straight into my bed for a snooze when we got home, woke up, asked Ann for early dinner, gobbled up all my dinner and now I'm back in my bed having another snooze.
