Journey's End
I failed miserably to get an image for Wide Wednesday* - but did have an enjoyable hour in the church yard trying to get some photo enhancing software to work on a headstone with the chairman of the village history group.
My blip is one of the source images, the idea is to get the text on the headstone into a more readable state. The 'snooker ball' in the bottom right catches a bright spot from the flash and over a series of photos (we took 42) the software should be able to put them together to give a readable version of the text.
It is RTI Reflectance Transfer Imaging - developed in the early 2000s for archaeologists and intended for an academic setting.
Think of it as focus stacking on steroids, quite picky about folder names and is not exactly easy to use. However - slow progress is being made. I've had enough of looking at a screen now so time to give my eyes a rest!
Update - managed to get the software to run and have an output file :-)
So we can now go back around the loop (several times?) and sort out how best to get the source images :-)
*Upton House - now only open weekends(ish)
Charlecote Park - last entry at 3:00
Drove home and it was almost dark grump grump grump .....
