Delicate landing

Down at the estuary it was windy and the birds weren't as calm as yesterday. saw the white heron, about the same moment it saw me and took off! (Memo to self - white shirt not a good choice! When I left home I didn't expect to get to the estuary today)

The masked lapwings (used to be called spur wing plovers) were very busy eating and flying, and this one was landing so beautifully. You can see the spurs on the wings (clearer in large).
