Lunchtime View

What a difference a day makes!  A beautiful late autumn day in Grasmere.  We headed off after breakfast towards Silver How, a small Wainwright fell between Grasmere and Chapel Stile.  Relatively easy, but the lungs still burnt as we started the steep up hill section behind Allen Bank.  We reached the summit just before lunch so headed on and found this location to rest and enjoy our food.

Our descent was accompanied by plenty of water coming off the fells, finding the path of least resistance which was often the paths we were walking on. A truly gorgeous day.
