A dreich day!
Apologies to my Scottish blip friends, but I couldn’t resist borrowing that wonderful word, dreich, as it perfectly describes the weather we’ve got today.
As there’s absolutely no chance of going out I’ve taken a blip of hubby’s latest creation. He volunteers at the New Zealand Maritime Museum, so he’s created the Auckland skyline with some of the more recognisable buildings, including the Cloud, the Ferry Building, Prince’s Wharf and the Maritime Museum - all in the foreground. The boats on the water are all associated with the Maritime Museum and are, from left to right, Aotearoa One (Māori waka {canoe}), SS Puke (steam tug), Nautilus (a 1st World War hospital boat), Breeze (a brigantine), and the Ted Ashby (a replica deck scow).
Today is Day 4 of Level 3 Step 2 and there are 175 cases of Covid-19 in the community, of which 8 are in the Waikato, 5 in Taranaki, 2 in Northland and 1 in the Lakes region. The remainder are in Auckland.
