Hydrodistension

I was excited for the treatment for my frozen shoulder this morning albeit very nervous. I've had shoulder pain for 9 months now.  My sister had experienced instant relief with this treatment 6 months ago which is what I was hoping for.

Sadly it was not the same for me.  Injecting the fluid into my shoulder was excruciating and the pain in my shoulder now seems worse than before.  (Though I was warned this might be the case).

Am currently addressing the problem with alcohol and hoping for a miraculous transformation in the morning. 

The picture was taken in the scan room.  It looks like a wedding dress but is in fact a lot of plastic aprons.  I couldn't tell you what my consultant looked like wearing one as my eyes were too blurred up with tears.
