FlowerFriday
Our first outing today was to the Ruskin Glass Centre In Stourbridge. We saw lots of lovely glass products and some glass blowing too. Then off to Wightwick Manor, a National Trust Manor House near Wolverhampton, once the home of the Mander family - Mander Brothers Paints. Founded in 1773 and a major employer in Wolverhampton. In the 19th Century the firm became the number one manufacturer of varnishes, paints and later printing inks in the British Empire. The company finished trading in 1998.
We enjoyed our tour round the Manor House, a cuppa in the tea rooms and a walk round a small part of the extensive grounds. The last of the Roses at Wightwick for FlowerFriday, thank you BikerBear for hosting and a very plump apple scrumper in the orchard in extra.
