Gold and Silver Birch

It was quite foggy this morning when we went for a walk to our local wildlife area. Gradually, the sun came out, revealing a blue sky, and  I noticed this silver birch looking as much golden as silvery. 
Despite this promise of a sunny day,  clouds soon rolled  in, and it stayed  dull all afternoon.      
A bit of a quiet day with admin and domestic chores, and reflection on it being Remembrance Day.
